IT’S TIME TO
OUR STORY
Dambai, once flourished with lush green cover, rich wildlife, and abundant natural resources. The construction of the Volta Lake system submerged vast areas, destroying ecosystems and causing environmental degradation. Asise Kepu Foundation was established to address these challenges and restore Dambai’s environment through innovative, community-driven strategies.

OUR MISSION
To leverage on the resources towards the restoration of the environment to its natural state and eliminating global warming and destruction and to actively engage households, schools, leaders, and communities in restoring the environment by planting fruit trees that provide food, shade, income, and biodiversity while protecting the ecosystem for future generations
OUR VISION
A world where humans live in harmony with nature, where ecosystems thrive, and where environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility. In four years, we envision Dambai transformed into Ghana’s Fruit Capital, with abundant food, restored green cover, improved livelihoods, and a model for climate resilience in Africa

PROVIDE SHADE AND PROTECTION FROM HEAT
Trees will serve as natural shelters against the rising heat caused by environmental degradation. Homes, schools, and outdoor spaces will benefit from cooler temperatures, improving living conditions and comfort for residents.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

PROMOTION OF TOURISM AND FORESTRY SITES IN DAMBAI
A greener Dambai, filled with diverse fruit trees, will serve as a unique attraction for eco-tourists, researchers, and students. The town could become a hub for environmental study tours and green tourism in the Oti Region.

BEAUTIFY PUBLIC SPACES WITH TREES
The project will transform schools, churches, mosques, and public areas by surrounding them with fruit trees and greenery. This will not only create a visually appealing environment but also instill pride and a sense of ownership in the community.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Schools and community groups will use the project as a practical learning tool to teach children and youth about environmental conservation. This hands-on involvement will nurture a new generation of environmentally conscious citizens.

IMPROVE AIR QUALITY AND RESTORE BIODIVERSITY
Replanting fruit trees will revive the lost biodiversity of Dambai, bringing back bird species and other wildlife. It will also improve air quality, protect water bodies, and strengthen the ecosystem’s resilience to climate change.
OUR FUTURE PLANS

We aim to expand the fruit tree project across the Oti Region, creating jobs through agro-based industries and ensuring lasting community ownership of environmental stewardship. Our long-term goal is to scale up reforestation nationwide, making Dambai a model of sustainable environmental restoration in Ghana and Africa.
OUR SOURCE OF FUNDING
The project requires GH¢ 982,355 over four years to achieve its goals. We seek committed partners, sponsors, and donors to support this vision without changing the project’s mission. Together, we can create a sustainable, green future.
